We met Charbel last year through "Stouh Beirut" and discovered that he suffers from severe autism, in addition to morbid obesity, which has always been a major obstacle for him.
Charbel’s sister, Sally Ziadeh (17 years old), also struggles with epilepsy and severe autism.
Last year, thanks to the support of kind-hearted donors, we adopted Charbel’s case and decided to help his entire family as well. The association covered the cost of his education and rehabilitation, enrolling him in the specialized "Phoenix" institute at an annual cost of $12,000 (equivalent to $1,000 per month).
This support enabled Charbel to make significant progress last year. He became more interactive with his surroundings and lost over 10 kilograms.
However, the journey is far from over—Charbel needs to continue his treatment plan to maintain the progress he’s achieved. He requires a long-term therapeutic plan that includes educational rehabilitation, healthcare, and daily monitoring to stabilize his mental and emotional well-being.
The monthly cost for Charbel’s education and rehabilitation is $1,000, with his family’s additional monthly needs totaling another $1,000.
This brings the annual total to $24,000 (or $2,000 per month).
