Beirut – On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, the 11th edition of the Telethon organized by the Stouh Beirut Association took place under the theme “Light Up Your Heart,” continuing the association’s year round humanitarian efforts.
The telethon focused on supporting fourteen cases spanning three generations of children, youth, and adults from diverse communities and regions across Lebanon. Dalia Dagher, founder and president of Stouh Beirut, mobilized her entire team, networks, and resources, including personal and association social media channels, to encourage the Lebanese public to “light up their hearts” by participating and donating during the event. The telethon was broadcast live on OTV starting at 5:00 PM, providing crucial financial assistance to ongoing cases as well as families the association had been supporting for over eleven years, totaling more than 250 families.
Visitors to the association’s website and social media pages were introduced to beneficiaries such as Yasmina, Zeinab, Hassan, Wajih, Maria, Leila, Eleonore, Samira, Hanan, Zeinab, Michel, Antonius, Charbel, and Sally. The telethon also featured the theme song “Light Up Your Heart,” composed by Nizar Francis (lyrics) and Hisham Boulos (music), arranged by George Qassis, with mix and mastering by Roger Abi Akl, and performed by singer Hadi Daw.
The event unfolded in five engaging stages, including artistic performances, live surprises, and appearances by some of the beneficiaries. The telethon once again demonstrated the enduring spirit of solidarity and generosity in Lebanon, providing a platform for both local and diaspora communities to contribute to meaningful humanitarian support.
