LES FEMMES DU SOLEIL

In the face of hardship, there are women who refuse to give up. Women who carry the weight of single motherhood, and orphanhood who navigate life without financial security, who have endured loss, violence, and struggle, yet still hold onto hope. For them, we created “FEMMES DU SOLEIL”.
A shelter and development center where healing begins, skills are built, and independence is reclaimed.

“FEMMES DU SOLEIL” - The Project

Shelter Center providing accommodation, essential needs, and a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) program. Development Center offering technical and vocational training, as well as medical services

Development Center

Shelter’s residents and external participants, will benefit from various trainings and workshops enabling them to regain their independence and integrate into the job market

Shelter

Women residing in the shelter, and in addition to the safe refuge and daily needs, will benefit from an MHPSS program helping them overcome their traumas and building resilience

Project Objectives

Immediate Housing & Safety

Secure shelter for 11 single mothers and their children (totaling 30 beneficiaries), as well as orphaned young women aged 18-25 who lack financial resources.

Economic Empowerment & Community Integration

Providing vocational training, entrepreneurship programs, and university support to help women enter the job market, while fostering social inclusion through workshops, events, and external training opportunities.

Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)

Helping women and children overcome trauma, rebuild confidence, and find emotional stability.
