First Lady Neemat Aoun received a delegation from the “Stouh Beirut” Association, headed by journalist Dalia Dagher, at the Baabda Presidential Palace. During the meeting, the delegation presented the association’s key achievements and discussed the “Women of the Sun center” project, which aims to provide a safe and fully equipped shelter for divorced women, widows, and orphaned young women. The center offers services including accommodation, healthcare and psychological support, as well as professional and social empowerment.
Ms. Dagher emphasized that through this project, the association seeks to empower women and help them reclaim their active role in society, relying on partnerships with the state and civil society.
For her part, the First Lady expressed her appreciation for the association and described the center as a model initiative that meets an urgent need for Lebanese women today, stressing the importance of supporting similar efforts.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation thanked the First Lady for her attention and ongoing support.
