Honor Georgette and Samia With Dignity and Care

Samia (61) and Georgette Skaf (67) are two sisters living alone in Ita Al Fakhar with no family support and no one to help them face the hardships of daily life. As they grow older, even the simplest tasks have become painful struggles due to severe knee pain and health conditions that limit their mobility and ability to work.

Today, the sisters rely on limited church assistance that is no longer enough to provide medication, food, or warmth. They remain unable to afford diesel during the winter or cover their most basic daily needs.

Stouh Beirut, in partnership with I Stand for Women, has provided the sisters with humanitarian assistance and donations to help ease part of their hardship. While this support has made a meaningful difference, their needs remain ongoing, and they still require continued assistance to live with dignity.

At this stage of life, Samia and Georgette are not asking for much—only warmth to protect them, medication to ease their pain, and the opportunity to live their remaining years with dignity and peace.
