The Abbas family is trying to hold on to hope despite the harsh circumstances they face every day.

Fadi Abbas, a 26-year-old father of two, works long hours at a small bakery to provide his family with the bare minimum of their daily needs. Meanwhile, his wife, Fatme, suffers from painful health problems that require physiotherapy treatment.

But the greatest pain this family carries is their young son, Baker, who is only 3 years old. Recently, Baker was diagnosed with profound hearing loss and urgently needs cochlear implant surgery. The total cost is $25,000, an amount far beyond what his family can afford.

Baker cannot hear his parents’ voices or the world around him without a cochlear implant. Since birth, Baker has faced difficult health challenges, and today, his parents find themselves helpless in the face of the enormous cost of the operation that could give him a real chance to speak, communicate, and live a more normal life.
