The Abbas family is struggling to hold on to hope through overwhelming hardship. Twenty-six-year-old Fadi Abbas works long hours at a local bakery to provide the bare minimum for his family, while his pregnant wife, Fatme, suffers from painful health complications that urgently require treatment.

But the family’s greatest heartbreak is their 3-year-old son, Baker, who cannot hear the voices of his parents or the world around him without specialized hearing aids. Since birth, Baker has faced serious medical challenges, and today his parents stand helpless before the enormous cost of the devices that could give him the chance to hear, speak, communicate, and enjoy a normal childhood.

Recognizing the family’s urgent needs, Stouh Beirut has provided $1,000 in financial assistance to help ease part of their burden. While this support has made an important difference, Baker still urgently needs hearing aids, and the family continues to require additional assistance to meet their medical and humanitarian needs.
