Support Maryam & Ali Chaaban

In Qantara, Akkar, Mariam Shaaban (54) and her husband, Ali (60), are struggling to care for their daughters, Nour and Soumaya, who both live with intellectual and physical disabilities. Nour also suffers from partial paralysis following a stroke. Mariam had to stop working completely to provide full-time care for her daughters, while her husband works irregularly despite his own health problems.

The family is living in extreme poverty with no health insurance or stable source of support. In moments of desperation, Mariam has even considered selling her clothes just to provide food and medication for her family.

To help ease some of their burden, Stouh Beirut has committed to supporting the family for six months, providing humanitarian assistance to help cover part of their essential needs. While this support offers important relief, the family’s challenges remain significant, and they continue to need additional assistance.
