Support Omar Mohammad Al Ghoul

Omar is only 9 years old, yet he has spent almost his entire life fighting a battle no child should ever face.

Born into a family of six, Omar was just one year old when his health suddenly deteriorated after being admitted to the Government Hospital in Tripoli. He lost his ability to walk and speak and was later diagnosed with severe muscle atrophy and paralysis of the limbs.

His only hope is a series of specialized surgeries. Each surgery costs $22,000. Through extraordinary sacrifice, his family managed to fund just one operation in Turkey, which brought encouraging improvements to his condition. However, four more surgeries are still urgently needed, and without them, Omar risks losing the progress he has made.

His father, Mohammad Walid Adnan Al-Ghoul, earns a modest living selling coffee by the roadside despite having lost the vision in his left eye. His mother, Fatima Hazzini, remains at home to provide Omar with the constant care he needs. Together with their four children, the family lives in a small two-room home under extremely difficult financial conditions.

Despite everything, Omar has never lost his smile. He still remembers his treatment in Turkey and lights up whenever his mother speaks about it. He knows there is hope but that hope depends on receiving the medical care he urgently needs.

Although Omar did not receive assistance through the Telethon, Stouh Beirut has stepped in and is providing $500 in support. It is a meaningful contribution, but it is far from enough to cover the lifesaving treatment that still lies ahead.
